Capitalist Alienation

Holy cow this is some deliciously filthy and fast punk.  Capitalist Alienation were from Montreal and put out this fantastic trainwreck of a record before calling it quits.  The music reminds me of more chaotic, "everything's-about-to-fall-apart" hardcore such as Void or Crucifix, but grosser.  The vocals are just too nasty.  Enjoy!

Blasphemy

I've said it before and I'll say it again, this blog really under-represents my love of metal.  The metal I most love is the filthy, nasty, deathly kind.  There are death metal bands that play really technically and impressively, and then there are death metal bands that sound like death.  I'll give you one guess at which kind I like more.  Blasphemy formed in the late 80's in Canada somewhere and they created this grotesque concoction of blackened death metal before either black or death metal were fully formed genres.  It's face-smashing pure evil and I like it a lot.  Lots of bands have taken this style of metal in interesting (and BRUTAL) directions, such as Portal, Proclamation and Diocletian, and you should check that stuff out as well.

SBHMNS (Canaduh)

While I'll always have a soft spot for the UK band of the same name based upon nostalgia alone, I have grown to absolutely love the Canadian Subhumans and dropped out of the debate about which one was better some time ago.  Don't let petty tomfoolery distract you from the Golden Radiance of the Truth..that both bands are really damn good!  Get into it!  You probably have enough by Dick, Trotsky and Co., so here are some excellent selections by our northern neighbors.
